Drilling to a depth of more than three times, the drill diameter often requires peck drilling where the drill is repeatedly withdrawn to remove waste cuttings, while being advanced in steps deeper and deeper during each feed movement. For efficient peck drilling, the Cushioneer Controls Hydraulic Speed Controllers must be arranged to act only while the drill is cutting.

Cushioneer Applications:
Cushioneer are designed to smoothly decelerate fast moving equipment. The plunger rod on a Cushioneer moves relatively fast at the beginning of its stroke and steadily slows as the moving load depresses the plunger rod. If you need to control the speed (velocity) of your equipment, you should select a KINECHEK from our bulletin S-66. The plunger rod on a KINECHEK moves smoothly at a constant velocity throughout its entire stroke length. CushioneerS are ideal for use on devices operated by air cylinders, moving carriages, falling weights, spring returned mechanisms, flying die cutoffs, packaging machinery, book binding equipment, anything that must move fast and stop quickly.

Super K Kinechek:
The main advantage of the Super K Kinechek is that it has a significantly longer stroke 4 inch or 6 inches versus the 3 inch Slimline. Like the Slimline models, Super-K Kinecheks are Leak-Proof, Durable, and can handle loads up to 1200 lbs. Super Ks can also be customized to your specific application. For example, a PECKCHEK adapter can be added to increase the functionality of a drilling operation. Super K’s are used extensively in robotics, drilling, food processing equipment and packaging machines.
